Meet the Team

Allycia DeCaire, MA, IBCLC, earned her Master of Arts in Human Lactation Studies in 2023. She is a mom of three and enjoys being a sports mom, volunteering at church, and celebrating all things spooky -- especially A Nightmare Before Christmas! She has been helping to lead Breastfeeding Support Group of Pulaski, TN, and she helps to support parents in the southern middle Tennessee area.

Amanda Tanner, CLC has been serving families of the Shoals since 2015. Her own nursing struggles and challenges as well as the lack of support in her area developed her passion for assisting others in meeting their individual infant feeding goals! She started her career working with the WIC program as a breastfeeding peer counselor for 4 years but knew she wanted to be able to do more. Amanda received her CLC certification in 2019 and has continued to seek more knowledge on feeding struggles to best support the families she helps. She is currently working towards her IBCLC certification. Amanda provides home and office visits for parents in and around the Florence area.

Kim Evans, RN, IBCLC -- also affiliated with M&H -- is coming to us with over 20 years of experience working as a hospital nurse in neonatal intensive care and as a lactation consultant. Outside of lactation work, Kim is a nutrition coach. She loves traveling and spending time with her husband and family. Kim provides home and office visits in and around South Huntsville and Hampton Cove.

Mariah Brown, CLC, has been serving families as a birth worker, offering doula support and lactation counseling. She is working privately in these roles and is also training as a student midwife. Mariah is passionate about birth and reproductive rights, and she is a strong advocate for her clients! Learn more about Mariah and the other services that she offers outside of TVLS at www.mariahalyce.com.

Sarah Willis, BSN, RN, IBCLC, founded Tennessee Valley Lactation Support, LLC, in 2018, and she has been supporting families in the Tennessee Valley ever since! As a nurse, she has worked in various medical specialties, but she found her passion in Antenatal and Labor-Delivery in 2015. It is her goal to give every parent and child the opportunity -- if they desire -- to breastfeed.
